What is new and upcoming with the Miss West Duluth Pageant?
Congratulations go out to our reigning royalty! The Miss West Duluth Pageant is pleased to announce ANNIE BALLANTINE as Miss West Duluth 1999! Annie is a 17-year-old junior at Denfeld High School. She is active in her school and her community, taking part in the Executive Board, the National Honor Society, the Varsity Tennis Team, and the Youth Advisory Board. Annie has also competed in and been successful in the Teen USA and Sunburst pageant systems. The Miss West Duluth Pageant is also pleased to announce DIXIE SWITZER as Miss West Duluth Princess 1999! Dixie is a 16-year-old sophomore at Denfeld High School. She is active in the Key Club, the yearbook staff, and the Nordic Ski Team.

Are you between the ages of 14 and 18? Do you live within the Denfeld School District? Are you proud of your community and would like to find a way to show it? If so, the Miss West Duluth Pageant is looking for you!
We are currently in the process of searching for contestants for the 2000 pageant! All pageant contestants will receive a T-shirt, trophy, contestant banner, silk flowers, trophy, rhinestone crown pin, and the opportunity to participate in fun events such as a pizza party and the 2000 Spirit Valley Days Parade! All of this is provided at no cost to you or to your parents! To apply, please contact Executive Pageant Coordinator Jennifer Kari to receive an application packet. All applications are due back no later than July 8. 2000. Upcoming pageant events include... ~American Cancer Soceity Daffodil Days Benefit (April) ~Arthritis Foundation/St. Luke's Better Bones Walk (May 20) ~West Duluth Memorial Day Parade (May) ~Superior Fourth of July Parade (July 4) ~2000 Contestant Application Deadline (July 8)
